Milestone Inspections Feature

In an effort to ensure the long-term resilience of structures throughout the state, the Florida Senate recently introduced Milestone Inspection requirements for condominium and cooperative buildings. These inspections play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, longevity, and structural integrity of older residential buildings, particularly in coastal areas where environmental factors may accelerate wear and tear.

Local authorities are tasked with tracking these Milestone Inspections, but many are already juggling a lot of balls, making this new requirement potentially challenging to manage.

Our new Milestone Inspections feature streamlines workflows for building departments to meet these new requirements. It simplifies identifying eligible condominium buildings for milestone inspections and tracking their completion.

The new feature enables:

1. Streamlined Data Collection: Efficiently gather and manage property data with features like photo documentation, structured data inputs, and automated deadline tracking—ensuring accuracy and organization throughout the inspection process.
2. Custom Table Views: Easily organize and track all condominium buildings requiring Phase I or Phase II reports. Monitor progress and seamlessly share data with your team.
3. Inspection Status Tracking: Monitor inspection timelines for individual buildings,  including whether Phase I is completed, if Phase I is completed within 180 days, and if Phase II is necessary.
4. Centralized Document Management: Store all related documents directly in each building’s record for easy access. Choose to keep these files private or make them publicly accessible on your Forerunner public flood website.
5. Communication Tools: Generate and send customized notices to condominium building owners, keeping them informed about inspection requirements and timelines.
